While the teachers and advisors and most of the staff were really helpful and kind, the student body as a whole was awful. Along with hazing, no respect for recruits who just got there, and the cadre cursing and swearing all over the place; this place may have a reputation for being a "good" military college but it is tarnished every day by its own members. I rate one star only only for the faculty and staff who were so kind and helpful to me in the long run and will not be attending or recommending this college to anyone again.
Great school, they are always renovating to improve and they keep the school very clean. Has a great program for cadets wanting to join the military in the branch they desire. ECP program is very well done and they hold those cadets to high standards.
I attended MMI from 2012-13 as an SAP student preparing for the US Air Force Academy. Coming from a northern state, I experienced quite the culture shock upon arrival- but I also made friends for life and learned a lot about myself and leadership. While it is located in the middle of nowhere, there is still a lot to love about the place. The challenges that it offers are rewarding to conquer and prepare you well for service academy life. I am now a "firstie" at USAFA and am less than a year away from graduation, and I owe it to those at Marion who invested their time in me and helped me reach my goals. Thanks to the staff, and Hail the Corps!
